Aiki-Bruises

I am listening to Energy Flow by Ryuichi Sakamoto, one of my favorite pianists. My muscles are in pain. I was sick for two weeks then went this week back to train. I was amazed how much difference it made. My body probably got somewhat weaker, but I never thought I would feel so exhausted after a training. At the very beginning, when I started aikido, it was really tough, but after a few month it was all right. Now I am struggling with the same pains and tighnesses in the muscles. Yesterday the techniques were totally tireing me and I felt breathless. It was so hard to carry on. But I managed to take the one and a half hours of training. We did morotedori ikkyo, shihonage, aikinage (yay!) and maybe one or two other technique I cannot remember now. In fact we did really few but for a long time. Could be that this was what tired me in the end. I am not trying to find excuses to my weakness, on the contrary. I am letting you all know and I am not ashamed to admit: I do have hard times in aikido. I also got an aiki bruise on my left foot:

I thought it is better to illustrate it, then explain the bruise in words. It is one of those accidents that usually happen to aikidoka while the floor is being swept with them. Other possibility, which is my case also, the aikidoka wants to perform a really smooth tenkan, lowering the center and dragging the foot behind herself...indeed...And I wouldn't lie to myself saying that with the time as you get better this type of small injuries won't occur any more. I remember when I started practicing aikido one of the Shodans always had plasters on her feet on that specific thumb-bone part. Now I know for sure why.

So in the end I came home in pain and grabbed my holly grail for muscle pains Forever Aloe Heat Lotion.

My mum bought it for me, and I really find this camphor cream is the only thing that helps make disappear the stiffness in my muscles.

So cream it on and keep on training.

Some little pain in the muscle CANNOT not stop you from getting better at aikido!

Summer Sunscreen Review- Vichy, Aloe, L'Oreal, Shiseido

In summer make sure to put a sunscreen on before you leave the house. You probably already have a moisturizer for the morning in your skincare routine. In summer, make sure it has a high SPF also. This is the least you can do against the aging of your skin. After trying out some sunscreens, bottom line was the following list:

Dos:

Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 25- Protective Sun-Cream Face, Paraben free, Radiant glow, anti-brown spots
Vichy Capitail Soleil SPF 50- Stick for sensitive areas
Aloe Sunscreen SPF 30- Protective Sunscreen

Don'ts:

L'Oreal Solar Expertise Sensitive- Anti-Age Face Cream with SPF 30
Shiseido- Sun Protection Stick Foundation SPF 30

After this upload I also got permission to upload longer videos! :)

Do you use a sunscreen? If yes which one? Please leave a comment about how it works for you.

❀Spring is Here! Treatment against Cellulite❀

YAY!❀ Spring is here, sun is shining! I already bought a cute short skirt and want to look at my best in it. As I consider my thighs one of my problem areas, I do use additional products that can make it look better. In this video I wanted to present one of the products that I use to get firmer thighs. You can lie to yourself and say you get rid of cellulite with massage and creams, but it is of course not going to happen. Anti-cellulite creams are to be combined with a balanced nutrition and with regular sports. Most of the people I know go working out or running. These are sports really few people genuinely enjoy. So what I have been observing is that most people around me enthusiastically start training and in two weeks when I ask again how they are doing, they say they stopped...for a while. Of course because they are too busy or too tired. People thinking like this will never do regular sports, although there might be a hope for them. Keep on reading to find out. They keep lying to themselves, that next time you will be disciplined. The only solution for them is so close and they don't even notice it!

it is
true passion
for a certain sport that cannot be beaten by any promise of quickly losing pounds or centimeters

All in all, use creams try working out, but best is to find that sport that really fits your personality and stick to it. Be it swimming, basketball, or even martial arts, do it not just for the sake of burning fat, but for the people you meet there, because you can learn more about yourself and to feel you are making progress in something and becoming richer as a person. Remember, you have been given this life in this body. It is such a shame to disrespect and mistreat it!

Sonya Eye Shadows

From the line of natural make-up products, I would like to present some eye shadows I have. In the mean time I learned from the little elephant, how to make a showcase of pictures and I will use the technique in this post. Above you can see several swatches of eye-shadows and of two eye liners.

Hereunder, I tried to group in what combination I would use the eye-shadows. With Pot of Gold you can do a daytime look which can be built upon with  Sunfire and transformed into an evening look.

This Golden eyeliner would complete at best this look.

Then there are the rest of the eye-shadows I could not really group with each other. However, they could separately be matched with other colors from my different pallets.

I really like this deep green, that has a really fitting and descriptive name: Cactus Green.

Then there is this blueish grayish color called Sterling

And my absolute fave for clubbing and going out  is this misleading white which turns into a completely different and fun color when applied: Hologram

Hope you enjoyed this post. Do not hesitate to comment and share opinions with me.

As spring has come and I am sort of running out of my Neutrogena SPF moisturizer, I ordered an SPF Day Cream and eye contour stick from StrawberryNet and will present them as soon as they arrived.

Sonya Make-up for the Face

As you can see from my previous posts, I am more like a skin care person, than a make-up person. That is also because the more you take care of your skin, the less make-up you need to use. I of course enjoy make up a lot, but I am really careful at choosing what I apply to my face. Especially when it comes to facial make-up that can clog up your pores and cause break-outs. Not long ago, I bought some Sonya make up for the face and eyes. In this post I am presenting the ones for the face. In my next post I will present some eye shadows and I am also planning to make a YouTube video with a look using the products, so stay tuned!

To start, I got this Cream to Powder Foundation. What I like about this brand, is the natural components it is made of, see the ingredients:

I like using natural products that do less damage to my skin. Especially when it comes to make up that covers your whole face all day long. The consistency of this product is best described by the name. On the face, it turns from a cream into a powder.

It offers a light coverage, that can be further built upon with another layer and/or a bronzer if you feel like it is to light colored. This is what it looks like on the skin:

For a fresh and cute look, you can add some blush also.

Be careful when using blushes. Blend it out well enough because otherwise you might risk to look clownish. If you feel you used too much blush, you can reduce the harshness by using some powder or mineral foundation. This blush contains again a series of natural ingredients and it is nicely pigmented.

A swatch of how it looks on the skin.

All you need is a nice brush to blend it in nicely. I use the ELF Studio Brushes because they are so smooth and very good quality on a low price.

In summer I don't really use cream or liquid foundations because I don't really feel comfortable. The solution I found instead is using mineral powder foundations. This is the foundation I used the whole summer, not every day, so there is quite some product left. I also use it in other seasons when I want a really natural look.

The good thing about Sonya products is that they are not only make up but also treatment for your face as they contain ingredients like Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract and Algae Extract.

This mineral make up is a fine powder that provides a mat finish. I usually apply it with a powder brush and it gives me a natural glow I really enjoy.

I hope you enjoyed my swatches and remember if you do use make up, try picking some items that contain natural ingredients and through this do less damage to your skin. I especially recommend this for women who use make up on a daily basis.

Kiehl's

When deciding about what beauty products to use, like many of you I also browse the net. I check out forums and what I like to do most of all is watch you tube videos where people talk about their personal preferences. One of my favorite youtubers is fuzkitty. She is always really natural and cute. Just as myself, not only is she interested in having a nice makeup but also in having a healthy and glowing skin.

It was under her influence that I decided I should try some Kiehl's products. As these products are not available in Hungary, I had to search on the web and I discovered a great site which has free shipping, called StrawberryNET.com
There I chose from the large Kiehl's range the Rare Earth Pore Refining Tonic

What attracted my attention at this product that it refines the pores and it also makes the skin appear more matte. As I am 24 my attention is now focused on products that clean my skin and make it look as healthy and clean as it can be. Another important step after cleaning and tonifiying is moisturising. So as a next Kiehl's skincare step I chose the Ultra Facial Moisturezer
My skin type is mixed and it is also rather sensitive. From time to time I visit a cosmetician. I think having your skin cleaned by a professional is really important. Cosmeticians can tell you what exact skin type you have and also how to take care of your skin. My cosmetician told me last time that some redness I observe on my skin is due to the fact that the skin is really thin and the thin veins are to be seen. She suggested that I keep my skin well moisturized and also that I wash my face only with warm water. Too cold or too hot water can cause the veins to appear even more. It is also well known that you need to take care of your skin not only from the exterior but also with what you eat. Some time ago as my cosmetician was applying a home made fruit masque on my skin she said I should vitaminize my skin more. I then asked her what masques I should buy. She just laughed and added: Well I meant by that, that you should eat more vitamins! I was not aware of that before, but after I heard and read a lot about how healthy eating can have a good effect on your skin. So I try to eating as healthy as possible, but in the mean time there are also some dietary supplements one can take. At present as the flue season is approaching I take some products of the Forever Living Product range: Forever Garcinia Plus, Absorbent-C and Forever Bee Propolis.

As this was my first order from StrawberryNET.com I got a free Brush on Gloss from IsaDORA in 03 Candy the color that I myself chose when completing the order ^.^y
